Hardware Engineers

THE LOCATION:

Broomfield, Colorado

THE ROLE:

These are new positions that will work as a small group to design, verify, qualify, test and research our network test equipment products. Work will be done in our Broomfield, hardware lab.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

This position combines a level of broad based hardware engineering knowledge with specific knowledge in the following areas:

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent understanding and application of Electrical Engineering fundamentals including in circuit design, circuit simulation and modeling tools.
• Excellent understanding and experience in HW design,
• Good understanding/experience in Microwave circuit theory and design,
• Good understanding and some experience in PCB layout,
• Familiarity/experience with HW design tools ( VxWorks,, VHDL),
• Experience with SW programming languages (C++, Labview, ),
• Familiarity with IC packaging technologies preferred,
• Familiarity with IC design and layout tools preferred,
• Logical design in large Xilinx FPGA’s,
• Architect and design digital logic solutions for programmable logic devices such as FPGAs using timing analysis, state machines, and hardware description languages such as Verilog or VHDL,
• Deliver prototype hardware to customers by implementing physical hardware designs by selecting components, capturing schematics, and supervising PCB layouts,
• Develop and execute hardware design verification test plans per requirements specifications to ensure prototypes meet design requirements,
• Use lab equipment and debug techniques to ensure products meet design requirements,

Strong understanding of some of the following Telecom industry products, services, networks and communications protocols is a plus: Ethernet, fibre channel, GSM, UMTS, LTE, wireless technology, triple play.

Education: BS Degree required (EE preferred) MS Degree a plus.
